Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: January 2026

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines and applicable laws, we want to be transparent about how i91.net makes money. This disclosure explains our affiliate relationships.

How we're compensated

i91.net is reader-supported. We earn revenue through a combination of:

  • Display advertising through Google AdSense and similar programs
  • Affiliate partnerships with companies whose products or services we recommend

What is an affiliate link?

Some links on i91.net are "affiliate links." This means if you click the link and purchase a product or service, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Commissions help us continue producing independent content.

We participate in affiliate programs including (but not limited to):

  • Amazon Associates
  • ShareASale
  • Impact
  • CJ Affiliate
  • Individual programs (A Place for Mom, Caring.com, Personal Capital, Trust & Will, and others)

Our editorial standards

Our editorial decisions are never influenced by affiliate relationships. We do not accept payment for reviews, and we do not publish content solely to generate commissions. If we don't believe a product or service is worth recommending, we won't — regardless of whether they have an affiliate program.

We aim to recommend products and services we would suggest to our own parents, siblings, and friends. We disclose affiliate relationships within individual articles (e.g., "This article contains affiliate links") when relevant.

How we mark affiliate content

We label affiliate disclosures clearly at the top or bottom of articles containing affiliate links. Product review articles also note "We may earn a commission" near the product summary.

Why we use affiliate links

Affiliate commissions allow us to invest in original research, expert reviewers, and the time required to cite primary sources. Without them, we'd have to either:

  • Charge for access (which limits who benefits)
  • Accept sponsored content (which compromises independence)
  • Shut down (which means this resource doesn't exist)

We believe transparent affiliate partnerships are the most reader-friendly option.
